It is composed of several layers. The topmost layer is a transparent wear layer that provides protection against scratches, stains, and fading.

It is followed by a decorative layer that features a high-resolution image of wood, stone, or other patterns.

The core layer is made of a stone plastic composite, which is a mixture of natural limestone powder, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and stabilizers. Finally, there is an underlayment layer that provides additional sound insulation and cushioning.
